Getting Started with AxelTutor

Your step-by-step guide to setting up your account and teaching effectively.

Step 1: Set Up Your Profile

Your profile is how students find and connect with you. A great profile builds trust and attracts more bookings.

  • Navigate to your Dashboard after signing in.
  • Go to the "Profile Settings" tab.
  • Fill out your name, write a compelling bio, set your hourly rate, and list the languages you speak.
  • Upload a professional profile picture.

Step 2: Define Your Availability

Let students know when you're free to teach. Our scheduling tools make booking effortless for everyone.

  • In your dashboard, click on "Calendar & Availability".
  • Select a date on the calendar.
  • Use the panel on the right to add available time slots for that day.
  • Share your public profile link, which includes your booking calendar.

Step 3: Prepare Your Materials

Organize your lessons into topics and boards for easy access during sessions.

  • Go to the "Teaching Materials" tab in your dashboard.
  • Create topics (e.g., "IGCSE Algebra", "Calculus I").
  • Within a topic, click "Add New Board" to open the canvas.
  • Prepare lesson notes, diagrams, and examples ahead of time. Everything is saved automatically.
  • Click the 'Share' icon on any board to generate a unique link. Anyone with the link can view your canvas in real-time.

Step 4: Teach with AI-Powered Tools

During a session, the canvas is your interactive workspace.

  • Use the toolbar to draw, write, add text, and insert images.
  • Open the "AI Assistant" panel to get help, generate quiz questions, or find new ways to explain a concept.
  • Use the "3D Viewport" by typing commands like "cube 5" or "parabola 0.5 1 2" to instantly generate 3D models.

Step 5: After the Session

AxelTutor continues to work for you even after the lesson is over.

  • Session recordings are automatically available on the lesson page.
  • Upload supplementary files (like homework PDFs or notes) to the lesson page for your student to download.
  • Use AI to generate a summary of the lesson from the recording's transcript (coming soon).
